Just a very quick update for everyone. I now have a mobile version of my site setup, and it’s live. The theme is very close to the normal site so you shouldn’t see many differences.

To see this, either visit the site from (nearly) any mobile device (and if yours doesn’t work, just let me know), or you can click the “Return to the Mobile Edition” link that you can see in many places on the site.

As always, if you find anything wrong, just let me know in the comments!

I sent this email back to the COO, John this morning. I’ve yet to call Josh back, but will probably do so later.

Hmmm, what to do?

Posted on Sunday, August 15th, 2010 at 8:42 PM in life, privacy by Michael

I recently got a flier from the company (Sun Communities aka Sun) that owns the mobile home park I live in, and it said they were giving out my information (name and phone number at minimum) to a third party company so that they can do a survey for them…I don’t know about you, but I don’t like my information randomly being given out…especially when a huge public company could just as well do the survey themselves… Continue Reading

YAY for Ranting

Posted on Friday, August 13th, 2010 at 5:34 PM in life by Michael

Right now, this post doesn’t even have a title…I just have a few things that I need to get off my chest. No offense to anyone, but this may be…harsh in some spots. You’ve been warned.

More work on project alientank!

Posted on Saturday, July 31st, 2010 at 9:37 AM in life, pets by Michael

I figured I’d give you all a quick update. Today (well, yesterday when this gets published), Nicole and I went out to Jenison to VI Pets to pick up stuff for my tank, a light, a plant, and some fish for it. They didn’t have anything in the way of lights that would do what I want. They did have a 3 LED light for it, but it wasn’t possible to change the bulbs in them without tearing it apart, which isn’t what I wanted. They also didn’t have any glofish that I wanted, just the same ol’ selection they had when I was there on Tuesday, a couple red and a yellow glofish. Continue Reading

New pup? And more!

Posted on Thursday, July 29th, 2010 at 11:57 AM in geek, life, pets by Michael

So…a fair bit to talk about this time, let’s see if I can get it all down without forgetting anything this time.

I’ll start with the “new pup?” Part first, for those who are curious, I won’t make you suffer through the rest of my ramblings just to get to it. Continue Reading

I’ve been neglecting you…way too much. I’m sorry. Forgive me???? Please? Just one more time? I’ll try to be a better parent in the future, and I’ll start devoting a bit more time to you again. Yes?? YAY!!! I will make it up to you!!!

Boredom is a killer…

So here I sit in the doctor’s office waiting for mom. It took them over an hour to get her in, and it’s taking a lot longer than normal. IRRITATING! Ahh well, that gives me time to push my N900 a lot more than usual. So here goes, let’s see if I don’t miss anything. Continue Reading

Updating the site

Posted on Thursday, May 6th, 2010 at 2:35 PM in geek, site, tech by Michael

So, I’m working on updating the site a bit. Added some new features to the blog, and there will probably be more to come. I’ve redone the sidebar, though to most people it will look the same. Most of those changes were on the back-end with styles. Continue Reading

Nokia N900 MMS support with fMMS

Posted on Monday, May 3rd, 2010 at 11:49 AM in geek, N900 by Michael

Following up from my post a long time ago about the Nokia N900 not supporting MMS natively here, this post is to elaborate on the state of affairs now.

frals from talk.maemo.org has written an application called fMMS. You can see the announce thread here. As of the time of this writing, it currently resides in extras-devel, but it is a very solid application and seems to work very well with minimal issues/configuration. Though, if you do need help, you can follow the help page here.

That’s all for now.
